Greetings from your LUMC electronic news and announcement blogger. Effective immediately, any LUMC news or announcements will be placed on this new site as soon after your LUMC blogger receives them as is possible. This can even be done several times a day if necessary.

This means that anyone with access to the Internet can view the latest news and announcements whenever they wish. All you have to do is enter www.lumcnews.blogspot.com in the address line of your URL page and press “Enter” to go to this page. Clicking on the link in the newsletter blog will also take you here.

Anyone with an announcement can call me at 453-4253 and I will place it on our daily blog. If you reach my answering machine, leave the message and your phone number. If I need any clarification of your message I can then call you back. You may also call Norma Hayes at 453- 3904 with messages. Incidently, I can publish photos on the site if you can get them to me electronically in JPEG format.

To start things off, here are the announcements for today:

* * * Next week, we will do a praise service. Peggy Ciula will give the message.

* * * Don’t forget to bring in donations for Our Father’s House and CCS this month.

* * * Norma needs information for the new, 2006 Church Directory and Pastor Mike needs information for the upcoming Charge Conference ASAP! Charge Conference is scheduled for Sunday, October 23, however, District Superintendent wants a copy of all records in her office one week before the scheduled conference. That means the deadline is next Sunday, October 16.

* * * The Lydia Circle will meet at Virginia Huffman’s home on Thursday, October 20. Please contact Virginia for more information at 453-4811.

* * * On Sunday, November 6, we will honor the deceased at this All Saints Day service. If you like to place a bell on the memory bell tower, please contact the office (453-4703) or Pastor Mike. (453-4801)

* * * Please continue to sign up for a visit from Pastor Mike. He would like to meet with everyone in their homes during this conference year. Pastor Mike has sign-up sheets in the main foyer and has scheduled visiting hours on Wednesdays [3:00 – 8:00 pm]. If these times don’t work for you, he will schedule at your convenience. Wednesday, November 9 is off the schedule. Call Pastor Mike or sign up for your visit.

Barb Johnson went back to Goshen Hospital on Friday morning, October 7 after several days of intestinal problems. She was admitted with low blood pressure cause primarily by dehydration. As of Sunday noon she was stabilized and her blood pressure was back to normal, but the cause is yet to be determined. We should have some test results on Monday.
